Our Story
"Cystic Fibrosis Parent Education" was co-founded by CF Parents: Timothy and Jennifer Webber of Raleigh, NC. As parents of two daughters with CF, and having themselves benefited from material shared by other parents of children with CF, the Webbers wanted to help other parents navigate CF by providing continuing education workshops to those impacted by the disease.
Since December 2016, workshops were held bi-monthly in the Triangle area of North Carolina and transitioned to virtual workshops in 2020. Topics have varied from attending college with CF, to current CF research, to nutrition tips! Our events are made possible through the support of the CF Foundation's Community Impact Grant. We are also grateful for the support of the UNC Chapel Hill CF Care Center, the Duke CF Care Center, and to the countless others who share their knowledge and advice about caring for those with CF to make our workshops possible. Educate
Our no-fee workshops provide virtual networking, learning and engagement opportunities with other CF caregivers and guest speakers. Topics over the years have included: nutrition, school considerations, medical adherence, insurance, legal and financial action plans, research updates, and the value of health eating habits.
Empower
